I am currently accepting new adult (18+) clients for individual psychotherapy.

I offer in-person therapy in Durham and telehealth services for folks located anywhere in North Carolina. Though I work with people from a wide range of ages, identities, and backgrounds, my three main therapeutic focus areas include:

1. Anxiety and OCD

Anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder can both feel incredibly unsettling in similar ways, affecting not only one’s emotional state, but also obstructing the ability to focus on and engage in what matters. You may find yourself exhausted by a busy mind; overwhelmed by uncertainty, guilt, disgust, urgency, or panic; or rigidly restricted by catastrophic and sticky “what ifs.” It may even feel as if your anxiety and/or OCD hijack your values, like in the case of perfectionism, and force you into approaching your goals in a way that ultimately backfires. In our sessions, we’ll work toward cultivating clarity, flexibility, and purpose. Therapy can help you reclaim a sense of agency and trust in yourself, enabling you to be the best version of you and, ultimately, enhancing your quality of life.

2. PTSD and shame

Trauma can leave lasting imprints, haunting individuals and preventing them from fully experiencing their lives. Feelings of shame and self-blame often linger in the aftermath. However, finding a safe, validating, and empathetic space to share can be profoundly healing. In our sessions, we will work together to develop the insight and tools necessary for you to embrace the present, heal from the past, and build a future that aligns with your true wants and needs, at the right pace for you. By identifying the barriers that keep you feeling stuck, you will find a renewed sense of strength and resilience to navigate life with more ease and authenticity.

3. Life transitions

Life is an ever-changing journey, marked by various transitions, some significant and others more subtle. Even the most positive transitions can feel stressful, bewildering, or even demoralizing. Perhaps you find yourself adapting to post-college life, navigating the complexities of relationships, adjusting to a new job, setting boundaries with family members, or preparing for a move. No matter what life throws at you, I’m here to support you through it. In our sessions, we’ll work collaboratively to build better coping skills to help you face these pivotal moments with greater resilience and grace.

My other therapeutic focus areas include depression, stress, chronic illness and pain, self-esteem, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ issues, and more.

Rates & insurance

Therapy rates:

  • $130/45-minute individual therapy session

  • $160/60-minute individual therapy session

  • $190/60-minute (one-time) initial assessment

Letters for Gender-Affirming Care:

Insurance:

I am out-of-network with all insurance and accepting private pay clients only at this time. I am happy to offer superbills (i.e., itemized receipts for your therapy sessions) that you can submit for potential insurance reimbursement.
